I wanted to chime in on the Winamp issue. I just opened version 5.6.6 and opened the equalizer and the playlist editor. By using ctrl-tab, I was able to move through the main screen, equalizer, playlist, main screen, etc. Closing the equalizer with alt-g, I could then ctrl-tab through the playlist and the main Winamp, as it should be. I did not do anything but install the new upgrade. I believe I might have installed an update for the app when using the beta, but if that was not necessary, I didn't do that either. Anyway, all of this was to say that Winamp works just fine for me. I am running a Win7 PC, 64-bit and WE9.

Yes, I just checked and that is as I have always set it to classic theme. I was able to mouse click on a track in the playlist and the focus went there, but I couldn’t use control tab to bet back to the main window. I tried alt tab and did get back to the main window and still couldn’t control tab to the other two windows I have open.

Jeff, I installed from app central today and I just did the check for winamp updates and it said I’m running the latest. I can open and close those windows with alt g and alt e, but control tab does nothing.

Make sure to upgrade to the latest Winamp app in App Central. It will require an upgrade.

My guess is that you are changing windows but they areb’t being announced.

Hello Jeff,

Yes, those windows (equalizer and playlist) are open, but cannot get to them with control tab. I never had this problem before upgrading to version 9 today.

Are those windows open to control-tab to? Use Alt-E and Alt-G to insure they are open.

Thanks Doug, everything is pretty much back to normal now. I used the check for updates features to install over the one I downloaded.

I just installed the winamp scripts and for some reason I can’t use control tab to move to the equalizer or the playlist area.

Bill and others,

I apologize, there was a problem with the full Window-Eyes 9.0 Offer for users of Microsoft Office installer when installed on a 64-bit machine. The Window-Eyes 9.0 upgrade did not have this problem nor did any of the non offer for users of Microsoft Office. This has since been resolved. If you have the bad install you have two choices.

1) Simply go to the Window-Eyes help menu and select the "check for updates" option and click the "Download Window-Eyes 9.0.0.0" link. The 9.0 upgrade can be installed on the existing 9.0 install and it will resolve the problem.

or

2) Uninstall the existing 9.0 Offer for users of Microsoft Office, download the installer again from http://www.windoweyesforoffice.com and re-install.

I apologize for the problem but once we were able to duplicate the problem we resolved it immediately.

But I want to be clear, this ONLY affected the full 9.0 installer that was downloaded from www.windoweyesforoffice.com <http://www.windoweyesforoffice.com> when installed on a 64-bit version of Windows. The 9.0 upgrade has no problem and the full (non offer for users of Microsoft Office) does NOT have any install problem. The issue has been resolved and 2 solutions have been provided above.

Regards,
Doug

    Hi Bill:

I too have experienced what you are talking about.

I have reported it on this list.

Appears to be an error in the WE 9.0 installer for the office version.

This does not happen with the evaluation, nor does it happen if I
upgrade to 9.0 from the WEforOffice 8.4 install. It only happens
when doing a fresh install with the WEforOffice installer for
    version 9.0.

    Hopefully, they’ll sort this out.

If you have never used the evaluation, you can download the
Window-Eyes demo and use it for 60 days. You won’t see this issue
    with the Window-Eyes evaluation demo.

    Hope this helps.

    I couldn’t buy the new Window-Eyes 9, but I do have a copy of
Office 2010, so I downloaded from the Window-Eyes for Office
site. Now instead of saying desktop, Window-Eyes says program
manager, and instead of saying start button it says start button
button start. I didn’t change any settings between beta 9.3 and
version 9. Is anyone else experiencing these things?
