Sounds awesome; I'm always using word count to make sure my essays are long enough. wink Question, if you have text selected does it tell you how many words in the current selection? I won't be testing it for awhile but it sounds really nice.

Subject: Microsoft Word Count 1.0

Greetings,

I just posted a script called "Microsoft Word Count". Press a key and
hear the number of words in the document you have open in Word. If you
have several, Window-Eyes will tell you the total for the document
you're currently working on. If there is not a document open when you
press the hotkey, Window-Eyes will fail gracefully.

By default, the speak Word Count hotkey is Control-Windows-W. You can
configure this to your liking from the help and options button in
Script Manager.

To read more and download this script, visit:

If you do download it, let me know how you get on.

Enjoy!

Darren
