HI Kevin
I actually can open and close a tree view with just the use of the
expand feature on a mouse click because the selected item posts the data of
that tree view item which was selected by the cursor movement. It was not
this that I was asking about.
The issue is the fact when the cursor has been moved to another item on
the tree view or I open a tree view item, then go down to another point on
the list to do the same thing only using the mouse the selection does not
change like the cursor keys do.
I do the same click on that tree view item, instead of opening that one,
it closes the one already selected instead of opening the new location. But,
after the other has been done the new location will open up after doing the
process a second time. An annoying feature.
What I am asking is the mouse moving the selection to the new mouse
location then doing the selection it also opens it, instead of first closing
the other.
In other words, when using the mouse I can also select that tree view
item when hovering over it. Once selected when the mouse moved there, I
click, and it opens up that item or closes it if already open.
So, I was just making the mouse do the same thing as the cursor up and
down arrows would do, thus causing the selection to change.
If any ideas I will try them. But, using the mouse is only a convenience
for my app and not a necessity.

Hi Bruce:
Insert-numpad plus will move the cursor to the mouse pointer,
providing the mouse pointer is within the boundary of where the cursor
is allowed to travel:
I just did some experimenting with the tree view in the Window-eyes
Control Panel, and I found that if I move my mouse to an element in
the tree view and then double-click with the mouse pointer, then that
gbranch will open. If I doubleclick again, the branch will close.
Of course, you understan that when I am talking about moving and
doubleclicking the mouse, I am using the keys on the numpad.
I hope that I have helped you somewhat.
