Hi Kevin,

The thing I was mentioning is the fact as you have mentioned, you have
to use the arrow keys to move the selection. Once you have done that, then
and only then, does the mouse get moved by routing it, all depending on the
arrow keys prior action.

Like you mention below, I can get the mouse to the selection point, but
when moving the mouse away from that point and not using the cursor arrow
keys the selection remains there and if clicking on something else, the
mouse action happens only on the prior selected object.

Granted the events for a mouse do not allow anything but monitor an
already selected item, which is where it fails. I was asking to actually
have the mouse move the arrow key selection in step with the mouse movement,
thus making a new selection based on the mouse position only.

I suspect this is all done by tracking the mouse and its location, then
doing a screen compare of locations. When reading the Object model listing
in the app book I think that is all that can be done.

My UnInstall program works just fine without adding that feature. It
would have been nice for those who you the mouse only. I can open and close
trees with the mouse but has the few hitches in them, like no matter where
the mouse is the action is only on the last selected item.

Hi Bruce:
I tested that in my Window-eyes Control Panel.
I first moved my cursor to Screen and then opened it using the Right
Arrow key, then arrowed down once to select one of the items in the
Screen submenu.
Then I routed the mouse to the cursor and I used the numpad arrow keys
to move the mouse pointer down to Verbosity in the main tree and
doubleclicked on it. this opened that submenu and highlighted it. As
I pressed the Cursor Up key I noticed that the Screen submenu was
still open.
Is this what you are getting at?
