Hi David,

    Does this happen every time?

Yes. At least the three times I tried it. Before starting it each time, I checked for any updates since you've been updating rather quickly lately.

I have a Dell Windows 7 32 bit machine. I don't get the error but we can
try something more and that is to place an error trap to see what fields are
messing up.

I will do what I can, but error traps are new to me. I'm still trying to figure out select statements! That's how green I am!

Also, did you get this error from earlier versions of my program?
Dunno since I waited until the update flurry was over before I tried it at all. I have not backed out to previous versions. Again, I'm still learning, so if you teach me how to do that, I will try it.

The errors that could be coming may be from a data type field off from the
scanning of all listings. So we will have to place an error trap in this
location. Let me know what the message box says.

I sent the message box contents in the notice. If you're refering to a different message box, please indicate which one and I'll do what I can.The message spoken when the app starts is the only thing I hear until the error report puts its nose in it.

So can you edit the app from the manager and go to this line?

Sounds like fun. I'll give it a go when I can get back to this.

Line: 1336 - parentNode.Children.Insert tvINew, tviLast

If you do, place just before and after that line:
Err.Clear
Err.Number = 0
On Error Resume Next
parentNode.Children.Insert tvINew, tviLast
If Err.Number > 0 Then _
msgBox " Text Is: " & tvINew.Text & " Data Is: " & tvINew.Data

Subject: Uninstall App 2.3 Error report

Bruce,
Enclosed is the error report I received when I tried the uninstall
app. I first downloaded the latest update. I'm using a Del XPS8300,
Windows 7 Pro - 64 bit, with WE 7.5.3 with all updates. The only
thing I can add is that I get the error message about a second or two
into its execution. I have been in that sort of position before with
other error messages, so I copy/pasted it into a place from which I
copied it to this email. I did try the send error report option and
of course, it failed too. Sure have seen that far too many times with W7.

If I can help with other testing or whatever, let me know...

David Helkenn
