Ahh, I see now--if I access AOL through Internet Explorer, the message does indeed say, from "Stacey Dunleavy." But if I check through AOL itself, it just says from your email address, and no, I didn't know who "anastasi55" that is. (Bet I won't forget in the future!) Some email addresses, of course, are more obvious than others.

How is this not signed? Just because the name is at the top instead of at the ottom? shesssh. ome e-mail programs STILL (in this day & age) do not show a "Stacey Dunleavy rote" thing at the top of every message. Nor do they necessarily show in the eader who something is from. My e-mail program has From, Subject, Date, To and eply-to in the top of every message, but not all e-mail programs do that -- hey may just show Subject and Date. Also, sometimes it only shows the e-mail address and not the name, and list embers can't always remember that (for instance) "clan...@igc.org" is Chris aning. ____________________________________________________________ O Chris Laning <clan...@igc.org> - Davis, California http://paternoster-row.org - http://paternosters.blogspot.com ___________________________________________________________ ______________________________________________ -costume mailing list -cost...@mail.indra.com ttp://mail.indra.com/mailman/listinfo/h-costume _______________________________________________ h-costume mailing list h-costume@mail.indra.com http://mail.indra.com/mailman/listinfo/h-costume
