Silicone implants are not banned & actually are the most commonly used ones currently due to them being more 'natural feeling' than silicone. A friend had hers placed as recently as 2008 & I know a few other girls who have gone for consults even more recently and silicone is still the leader. Implants have come a LOOOOONG way since the early problems with them.
