That wasn't me, but I did make my own robes. The modern master's robes are based on 16th-century loose gowns with hanging sleeves, so that's what I made (along with a cloth flat cap). My area of study is 16th-century clothing, so it seemed appropriate, and people always compliment me on it at graduation. I'm a professor, so I get to wear it once or twice a year. I don't have any photos that I can post, unfortunately.
