I feel like this introduces extra dependencies; but I suppose you're
right in that it handles compression. In the slcon2 presentation it
seemed like bzip2 performed well - which is cool.

If we would to use the farbfeld (.ff) format, we would have lost the
compression (.ff.bz2) when we are doing the presentation.

Can sent just use .ff.bz2 to display images?
