Thanks to all the replies so far - some great feedback! If we run another meeting at Hursley I want to focus on getting some time in the schedule for playing with boxes, as well as encouraging people to skip a talk they are not interested in to hang out in another room (the whole ground floor was available to us) The lighting in the auditorium was unfortunate - there are something like 8 preset light settings that we could have tried so I will keep an eye out next time to try and get it better. I am looking into the networking, but I suspect wired networks might be too much for our security rules. It sounds like only having reception open for a fixed time wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, and getting a few people late was not really a problem. Again, thanks to all that turned up (and also those that gave a talk!)
