Just a thought: next time you have your BizHat on, you may want to compile a list of benefits. You can derive benefits from features by adding "which means that..." after the feature, although it's much harder to do. For example, my car has a six speed gearbox (feature) which means that it is more economical on motorways (benefit). People buy benefits, not features (although cosmetics, with their invented-sounding contents, and mobile phones, with their AMOLED screens, seem to be exceptions to this rule). You may also find that the benefit derived from a given feature depends upon the audience. Easy example: all the software supplied by us is Open Source, which means that [...]. To a programmer, a user, a finance director and to FAST, the benefits differ (or even disappear). -- Keith Edmunds +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ | Tiger Computing Ltd | Helping businesses make the most of Linux | | "The Linux Specialists" | http://www.tiger-computing.co.uk | +-------------------------------------------------------------------------+ -- Please post to: Hampshire@mailman.lug.org.uk Web Interface: https://mailman.lug.org.uk/mailman/listinfo/hampshire LUG URL: http://www.hantslug.org.uk --------------------------------------------------------------
