DXMAP showed some sporadic E MUFs into the FM band on May 31, so I checked them out in the caradio oven parked in the sun, 1815-1841 UT, but nothing definite loggable, not quite in range for the skip zone except maybe an occasional strong burst on an `open` channel otherwise occupied by fringe OK and KS stations, which also fade up and down a lot in the turbulent overheated lower atmosphere. Another try with same negative results around 2200 (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR) UNIDENTIFIED. 11700, June 1 at 0149, S7/S9 open carrier. Nothing listed now in HFCC, Aoki or EiBi, just France at 04-07. NO signals from Cuba on 11760 or 11880, so I wonder if possibly the Dead Air Service of RHC have punched up the wrong frequency, SAWA?
