jammer/SOH channel; also same sound on 21780, where nothing listed by

** CUBA [non]. 9490, UT Mon June 1 after 0200, bigsig from R.
Rep?blica via RMI via FRANCE, but there was none at 0152. Aoki shows
0200-0400 daily; EiBi as 0200-0300 daily, expanded to 0300-0400 on Thu
thru Mon. But HFCC does not show it at 0300-0400, rather also at
0100-0200 daily. Yet WRMI`s own skedgrid claims only: 0200-0300

** EAST TURKISTAN. 17640, June 1 at 0141, S9+20 discussion of elexions
in Colombia, Valencia, American English accents so must be CRI as sked

** EUROPE. 5842.005-, May 31 at 1946, Free Radio Service Holland, good
signal into UTwente on much-publicized first broadcast of the year,
with DX news mostly about other pirates. Supposedly one of 5

** NORTH AMERICA. 6955 AM, June 1 at 0147, pirate music S9+10/20 vs

SSOB, RRI as sked in Romanian at 01-02, 300 kW, 310 degrees from
Galbeni. Similar music but not // on slightly weaker 9550, which is
RRI in French at 01-02, 300 kW, 307 degrees from Tsiganeshti (Glenn

** TURKEY. 11785, May 31 at 2210 NO signal from VOT English into
UTwente; wanted to copy details of reply from Cemre to Chris about the
11780 QRM problem which was poorly heard at 1703-1710. Something`s
always erroneous at Emirler. Final repeat at 0333 UT Monday on 7375 &
6165 on the air, but too poor to copy direct or via remotes in E North
America, Europe or SW Asia, but I think my name was mentioned. Will
have to try again on Wed/UT Thu sometimes during hour of each repeat

propagation beacon on 28.232.3. The transmitter is a dedicated 10 watt
unit made by Vlad, AA7DJ. The antenna is a roof mounted homebrew 1/4
wave vertical. Reports are always welcomed. Thanks! Would be pleased to
exchange cards for QSOs or beacon reception. I'm old school, no return
postage is necessary`` O, I`ve heard direct from Bob, such as about
YHWH monitoring, and also in the NASWA Flashsheet; pse QSL?
There were a few other 10m beacons but too weak to copy definite IDs
despite repeated iterations, on 28253, 28264; definitely K7EMX/B again

** U S A [and non]. WORLD OF RADIO 2349 monitoring: confirmed Sunday
May 31 at 2005 the 2000 on IRRS SW via AM Italia, 1322.994-, S7/S8
into UTwente but HSNL in WEu. Last week the 2000 was replaced by
music, but this week resumed airing twice in a single sesquihour,
first at 1900; OK...
Also confirmed Sunday May 31 at 2006 the 2000 on WRN Europe stream.
Also confirmed Sunday May 31 at 2130 on SW Radio Gold, Germany,
6160.000- S9 and 3975.000+ S9/+10 into UTwente.
Also confirmed Sunday May 31 at 2330 on WRMI 9455, S9+45 into Georgia
SDR.
Also confirmed UT Monday June 1 at 0030 on WRMI 7780, JBA in HNL
direct; at 0055 S9/+15 into Georgia SDR, S7/9+3 into S Texas SDR.
Also confirmed UT Monday June 1 from 0301 on Area 51 webcast, as WBCQ
5130- started signing off at 0300 sharp; previous show said he was
also on CKDO 88.1 in downtown Halifax NS. Next:

** U S A. 1150, June 1 at 0600 UT, Townhall News, presumably usual
KSAL Salina KS. NRC AM Log has it with Fox, not THN. I pay little
attention to which news networx are on which stations, but my
impression is that more and more are with THN, perhaps prompted by the
self-destruxion courtesy Bari Wei? of CBS Radio News. Could be
preferred by stations who find Fox *too* mainstream, liberal? Ha2. THN
unabashedly bills itself as ``the leading source for conservative news
and political commentary and analysis`` at https://townhall.com/ -
it`s part of Salem Media; that explains it. It seems that ABC is the
main other one now on AM radio. Could you imagine a news network
daring to call itself ``Liberal``?? (Glenn Hauser, OK, WOR)
** U S A. DXMAP showed some sporadic E MUFs into the FM band on May
31, so I checked them out in the caradio oven parked in the sun,
1815-1841 UT, but nothing definite loggable, not quite in range for
the skip zone except maybe an occasional strong burst on an `open`
channel otherwise occupied by fringe OK and KS stations, which also
fade up and down a lot in the turbulent overheated lower atmosphere.
Another try with same negative results around 2200 (Glenn Hauser, OK,

UNIDENTIFIED. 11700, June 1 at 0149, S7/S9 open carrier. Nothing
listed now in HFCC, Aoki or EiBi, just France at 04-07. NO signals
from Cuba on 11760 or 11880, so I wonder if possibly the Dead Air
Service of RHC have punched up the wrong frequency, SAWA? (Glenn
