My name is Will Yonker and I live in Ohio. I'm a Linux server admin and part time C/Php coder. I've been working with Linux for almost 10 years now and it never ceases to amaze me when I stumble upon a wonderful project like this. So, I have a friend/client that works at a community medical center. They are currently trying to find a program that will store all of their old patient files. They really just want to scan it all in and file it under the patient's name. During my research for that solution, I stumbled upon Vista. What they are really dreaming of is something that will replace their scheduling and billing software that also has EMR and pharmacy support. Knowing all this, I got really excited when I saw VistA. I haven't played around with the roll-n-scroll interface too much but it's better than what they have now. Whoever it was that purchased the software they are using now pretty much stopped development. I don't want to name any names. :) So there we are. They are afraid to move away from the software they are using now but I know they must be paying 100k a year for the privilege to use it. I'm hoping when they see a demo of VistA it will encourage them enough to take the plunge. I need to learn as much as I can as quickly as I can. I only have around two weeks to put a demo together. In my spare time even... Probably more information than you really wanted to know. :) I tend to ramble at this time of night. -- This message has been scanned for viruses and dangerous content by MailScanner, and is believed to be clean. _______________________________________________ Hardhats-members mailing list Hardhats-members@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/hardhats-members
