Kind of hard to do since he said he can't boot from a CD :) I have this sinking feeling that your motherboard may have taken a dump, probably the I/O controller. I would take the CD/DVD and hard drives and plug them into another computer to see if they work. If they do then you know it is your motherboard. -- Brian
