PCI-E and PCI-X are two very different things though there are PCI-E 8x raid
cards

Well, maybe I have my lingo wrong. The card I have is an LSI MegaRAID
that has a 64bit 66mHz bus. When I bought it I was told that all
standard PCI slots are 33mHz and so to take full advantage I would
needa PCI-X slot that was only found in server mobos.

PCIe is for video cards only, right? Isn't that a different beast than PCI-X?
