I look at it this way, it might not be quite as good at cooling as one
with a working fan, but it's far better than one with a dead fan.
Most of the ones with fans use tiny 40mm fans that die quickly around
here (very dry in Tucson Az). I would rather deal with a slight
cooling issue the entire life of the drive instead of a major cooling
issue after 6 months or so.
