Nope, if it's old, it won't do better than that.  I originally had a
7800GT (Nvidia) in my system and upgraded to an 8800GT to get decent
response.  Note that UT3 is normally frame locked at 60fps (which
makes me laugh at some of the reviews on the web), so unless you
specifically go in and change the vertical sync lock, it'll top out at
60 fps.

The 7800GT did 20 to 30 fps, the 8800GT jumped that to 40-60 making it
'playable', however you will get frustrated with the game as they did
not correct the problems with UT2004 and added some new ones.

In UT3, single player, you can only play as Reaper, and your team is
pre-selected and not very good.  As you go up in difficulty, the enemy
bots get tougher, but your team stays the same, making it almost as if
you were doing it alone.

As for the rest of it, Bots can still shoot through corners, they
still possess weapons they couldn't have possibly picked up and no,
you still can't tell where they are aiming.
