DH, A post card has its own lights or a numeric display that you decode to find out what the error is. It is a VERY low level type of test.
I was surprised to find out how much they have changed: (You need to find a better site/listing, but here is a sample hit...) <http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Laptop-%2F-Desktop-Parallel-USB-PCI-Diagnostic-Post-Card_W0QQitemZ110333479928QQcmdZViewItemQQimsxZ20090104?IMSfp=TL090104116003r4416> The old ones were only as good as the cheat sheet number decoder and if it covered your particular MB/BIOS. They are sometimes helpful even with no decoding. Rick Glazier From: "DHSinclair"
Chris, IF the display never lights up what is the point! Still no forward status! Duncan
