So I thought it might be this and turned it all off (anything with any toggle 
under Settings, Interaction, Keyboard).  

Still no dice.  None of the keys listed below (backspace, semicolon comma and 
right arrow and number pad slash) don't all work-well I apparently got it to 
type one comma as you can see after the backspace earlier in this sentence but 
not after that... 

Any further ideas...?!  This is driving me crazy!  It's still a fine laptop 
except for this one minor but super annoying issue...!  Thanks man.

Did you disable sticky keys and filter keys settings ? I had a box that did 
this all the time and that is what was causing it.
