Hey guys, picked up a new LG Gram laptop at Costco for $850...couldn't pass it
up at that price given the specs and screen size of 17" (floor model, hence
discounted a bunch from the $1250 normal price).

In any case what I'm wondering is about licensing and transferring over
programs and stuff. I've got a bunch of software installed on my old MSI
gaming laptop and do most licenses for most of these things let you have two or
more copies installed on multiple machines at home or would I need licenses for
each instance?

And specifically, I'm trying to remember, what's the deal with both Windows
10/11 and MS Office now? What I mean is the LG came with Win10, not 11, and I
think it's free to upgrade to 11, but would you guys recommend doing that now
before I get it all set up and install stuff, or to wait some time as I heard
that 11 was missing some stuff?

And as far as Office goes, I'm pretty sure I just bought a license for Office
Pro Plus 2019 so I could have Outlook (all I mainly use it for actually). Is
that something where I'd be able to get another copy installed on the new
laptop and running simultaneously or would I need to get another license?

And I guess, is there theoretically an easy way to replicate my
desktop/files/programs from one machine to another? I mean nowadays, at least
with iPhones you can just restore from an iCloud backup and I have to admit
it's pretty nice for things to be that easy... Is there anything like that in
the Windows world?

Thanks for any advice/tips guys! Cheers!
