That's certainly fine, I just wanted to point it out. Others that have been lusting for a good (i.e., not TN film) 27" may be interested. It's definitely the best 27 you're going to find for ~$300, if the conditions are right.
I wouldn't slam LG - their superior IPS panels are used in many of the better/best displays, including those by Apple, HP, Eizo, and Dell. If you're not afraid to spend a little more, there's always the Dell U2410. The U2412m, its alleged successor, uses 6bpp color and FRC. It's hard to tell the difference between 6-bit + FRC and 8-bit anymore, but the purist in me still takes issue. I recommend http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/ as -the- authority when researching LCD monitors. Greg, Thank you for your detailed (pair) of shares. I will go look/see. I remain put off by LG (even from S. Korea), and/or Yamakasi. Yes, I may miss an chance to own the NEW killer label. I do understand the current 'best for least' baseline. I have never played there. No plan to start either. I'll accept the jabs should they arrive! My personal bad. Sorta pushing for 24in diag. Until, the local power-grid dies, I will research other choices. Local temp just reported as 110+. Can not prove that at my 20, but I do see 99 w/o a breeze. Weird Earth-Cycle we live in ATM.
