I like Samsung stuff a lot, will look at them. My office jets only
seem to last about 3 years or so and my current one is giving me
grief sometimes when scanning.

for about 1.5 years, and bought my dad one of the same around a year ago,
both have been excellent. Also got my mother a cheaper one--CLP-315--a few
years back that hasn't given any trouble either. I don't print much, but
when I do, I want it to just work - which means inkjets are ruled out.

Brother machines aren't very reliable BUT they appear to be willing to
replace them when they fail, even out of warranty, so it might be
worthwhile.
