The answer to the original question is...it depends. Samsung has some SKUs
that include a 3.5 to 2.5 adapter, as does Intel and probably others--but
most SKUs do not. However, you can use any $2 adapter. Or, you can literally
tape them to the bottom of the case--they're light, are not harmed by shock,
and usually have no exposed circuitry, so they don't really need a hard
mount. I have some that are screwed in, and others that are literally just
free-floating in the case. Others are attached by one screw to a 5.25 or
3.5" bay.
