I haven't said anything so far, but I must speak up
now.

Counting votes by reading the e-mails sent to the mailing
list is not a good method. I, for example, try to reduce the
number of mails on this list by *not* sending messages that
just state "I agree strongly with Chris Okasaki" (without
adding anything else), whereas in fact I do so.

So if you want us to vote, please introduce a voting system
like sending mail to one person, or a cgi script on the web.

(I hope you have not already done this, but if you have, I
missed it and I couldn't find anything like it in your old
messages).
