Worse, the fact that many people start with an M4 config, run it, then
make changes to sendmail.cf (sometimes without really understanding if
/etc/init.d/sendmail will rebuild it from the M4).
Shame on any Unix-like vendor for shipping an OS with sendmail.

What is more hateful:
1 the config language that you have to compile to the actual config
file?
2 the fact that the config is so horrible they invented a new config
format that has to be compiled to the first?

Sendmail stands alone in configuration hate.
