Right.  So _just_ send HTML.  Don't send supposedly equivalent
alternatives which aren't.

If you really believe that everybody can cope with HTML mail then the
plain text alternative is redundant.

The above does not justify the original hate of sending HTML mail with
defective plain text alternatives.
