No, I didn't like that. I installed a small input handler that made
the menu pop up under the mouse instead.
I have tried to find one like that for the Mac but the best
combination I have come up with requires clicking the middle button,
which is now a scroll wheel, and it's just too fiddly.
The Atari ST had a menu bar that popped down when you waved the mouse
over it, which was worse.
The reason for this was because they wanted to look like the Mac for
marketing reasons, but they were afraid that Apple would sue them if
they copied the menu bar exactly.
