Here's another Yiddish-name-of-Hebrew-or-Aramaic-derivation problem: what to do with the name "Iyov"? Barry points out that, though this is seldom used as the name of an ordinary person, it may turn up in a book title where it will have to be romanized.
I can't find this in Beider, though it may be there unrecognized by me. What would the proper "Yiddish" form be? Iyev? Other suggestions? Thanks for considering this. Joan
