Dear all,
it is again my honour to announce that the master thesis of Michal
Koutny titled
System daemon for HelenOS
has been successfully defended today. As soon as I receive Michal's
permission, I'll publish the text of the thesis on the HelenOS web site.
The implementation is available at
lp:~werkov/helenos/system-daemon
I believe that the concepts and the overall design of the service
management proposed by Michal Koutny are sound.
The available implementation is a proof-of-concept which is unsuitable
for upstream merging in its current state (there are many rough edges
and some regressions), but I think that some parts of the code are worth
cherry-picking and the rest should be reimplemented based on the
proposed design.
