The reader is used to serve jpeg images at runtime, not to save them
in different sizes in the repository. We have created custom solutions
in the past for adding images in several sizes to the repository but
they are customer specific so I can't point you to a wiki page for
that. Hippo CMS 7 supports this by default but I guess you're working
on a Hippo CMS 6 project.
