I am using Hippo CMS 6. Can you give me a point how can I override
default image upload (is it possible to override it though extensions
folder, or I should modify existing source) ?

The reader is used to serve jpeg images at runtime, not to save them
in different sizes in the repository. We have created custom solutions
in the past for adding images in several sizes to the repository but
they are customer specific so I can't point you to a wiki page for
that. Hippo CMS 7 supports this by default but I guess you're working

Yes this is done for showing the binary thumbnails IIRC in the cms.
You should to find where this is done (in which sitemap). It is just
some generator or transformer that does this for you.
