Histonet, I have heard rather anecdotally that if you bake slides at high temps (75 degrees to 80 degrees) before IHC for a long period of time (several hours to days), you may affect antigenicity for some antibodies. Has there been any study done about this? Also, what if it is a high temp (around 75 degrees C) for just 20 minutes? Or a low temperature for a long period of time?
