We need to get back to the original focus of this thread. Was the chipset on the amd boards specified?
It wouldn't be fair if you were comparing a P4 with DDR 333 to an Athlon mp with DDR 233, would it? I'm just saying that there are other parts of the machine to consider besides the processor speed. Also...2 single processor machines are superior to 1 dual processor machine in overall cpu usage. Mapchange, however, is a different story. This may sound silly, but have you verified that both cpus are being used by the operating system by looking for two processors in the task manager? I am not loyal to either brand. I have both brands of chips and I realize that both intel and amd have made some good and some bad ones. Are your 2400's thoroughbred or barton cores?
