It's my undersanding that the 6800 requires a more robust power supply, in
the order of at least 500W but 600W is recommended. The X800 has no enhanced
power supply requirements. That should also be considered when upgrading.
This could easily add several hundred $$ to the total upgrade prce.

I got an evga geforce 6800 from newegg.com.  They have this cool program
that lets you upgrade within 90 days if you outgrow it that quickly,
which I did.  A 6800 gt is now on it's way.

An nVidia 6800 is the only way to go. Bite the bullet and fork out $500
for
the Ultra.
