HL2DM have CenterPrintText, but why CSS and DODS haven't or disable it?
set "tall" to 12 in CSS or DODS it good, 24 is too large

in HL2DM ClientScheme.res
CenterPrintText
  {
   // note that this scales with the screen resolution
   "1"
   {
    "name"  "Trebuchet MS"
    "tall"  "18"
    "weight" "900"
    "antialias" "1"
    "additive" "1"
   }
  }
