If you're interested in providing more functionality to your app, you might give my library Steam Condenser a try: http://koraktor.github.com/steam-condenser It's a full-featured Java library, but there are still some incompatibilities with Android. If you want to integrate it in your app, I am eager to fix the compatibility issues.
Steam Condenser is able to query master, Source and GoldSrc servers. You can also get information from the Steam Community and a future version will include WebAPI support.
