Kernel is defintely the point where you are going to resolve issues like what you are seeing, so I would advise as AMD has to have different compiling flags as these might be automated as prior 4.5 (maybe earlier) I recall AMD having additional "optimising" options in the kernel. >Yeah I am aware of the BSDi based SMP improvements.
