AMX does it - and that's the only plugin I have.
Is there anyway of getting AMX to release some kind of update fast?

Try removing each plugin one at a time to see which one is the cause of the problem. MetaMod has a good backwards compatibility mechanism but perhaps one of the addons is using it incorrectly.

Seeing as it's happening on all my machines I think it's a metamod/steam issue which hasn't been addressed.
