As for whining too much, you really need a reality check. If you can point out how I "whine too much" to the mailing list, please, do so. Unlike your extremely helpful response, I actually interject in the mailing list when I have time to help out, something I've yet to see come out of you aside from this beauty of a post. I actually pointed out the problems thus far, and considering the flood of messages on the mailing list since release with people having issues, I know I'm not the only one. And no, actually, they are not giving me the ability to host anything at this point, as you can see by my initial email, try as I might to get the actual program installed. Try taking notes while reading. They've admitted the installer was having issues with connection resets and they would "look at it tomorrow" the day it was released, which still hasn't happened, at least not that I'm aware of. Even when steam does install to the correct folders, it still resets between content installations. Chances are you've just started hosting and really have no idea what you're talking about, so I'll let your ignorant comments slide. The fact that they had a release date set for this before they even had a working Linux server platform, while bad, is only worsened by the fact that they couldn't reach the deadline. I could even let that slide, if I was at least able to get a working set of tf2 server files. Shit, I'll take a tarball of the entire installation of someone mirrors it. I assume VALVe does all of their testing on Windows only, then converts to Linux as needed? Either way, I know I'm not the only person who's had enough broken Linux updates to last a lifetime. Yours work for you? Great! I can't wait until mine does. But unless you have something helpful to solve the problem or want to elaborate more in a helpful manner, keep your mouth shut.
