I should test before I post.  The cpu usage is improved but it is still 
much higher than it was, and it is fluctuating pretty wildly.  I'm 
finding it ranges between 40% and 70% with no changes in the number of 
clients.  I believe it used to range between 40% and 50% under the same 
conditions.
