See this is an issue..while I would love to see Steam Trade interface get much better I want the old system back as an Option at least. The speed in which you can trade thru just the game vs steam trade I'm afraid will never be the same - then you have overlay issues with many users. So many people complaining and upset over the sudden change that its created a fire storm in my servers with player counts going up and down due to rage quitting from the errors or drops while in steam trade or the fact that it takes 10-20x longer for just a simple (scrap) trade vs how it was before.
I'm sorry but the option to use either should still be there - I really don't see how it hurt anything or used any more resources than we are already using. I'm all for change but this one isn't a good one. -----Original Message----- From: hlds_linux-boun...@list.valvesoftware.com [mailto:hlds_linux-boun...@list.valvesoftware.com] On Behalf Of doc Sent: Friday, February 17, 2012 1:07 PM To: Half-Life dedicated Linux server mailing list Subject: Re: [hlds_linux] Mandatory Team Fortress 2 Update Released This is why I advocate for everyone to just calm down about the change. It may not be the best thing ever forever of all times, but assuming Valve play their games and listen to people whine then I'm pretty certain the trading interface might get better with age. _______________________________________________ To unsubscribe, edit your list preferences, or view the list archives, please visit: https://list.valvesoftware.com/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/hlds_linux
