Hello know_mystery,
Many thanks
Will put it on its own brand new HD (Hard Disk)
You're welcome.
I think it will be happy there!
Here, it cohabits with Win98 SE - they seem to have negotiated a happy medium. Nothing is better than a happy medium, unless it is a happy large. :)
Seriously, i am going to replace the dual boot with a Fedora only install. Right now, though, i get a morning smile at boot time seeing it give two login choices - Fedora or DOS (not windows).
Only installed Red Hat (Fedora) once and it was smooth and quick
I have installed both as a workstation and as a server, and also tinkered with the different option choices to install - well, you will see what i mean. The installs were all amazingly straightforward. Only tricky part was recognizing the monitor...
For commercial usage Novell (Susy) and Red Hat are the primary candidates
The Astral Dolphins INSISTED on swimming through everyones dream realms
(May have been the Astral fish they were promised would be there)
I am very very grateful to the Astral Dolphins, then. I like the idea of people being able to talk about their dreams and the Peace retreat feels like a wonderful place for that.
Will now go heron spotting . . .
I spotted one on the Peace wiki home page, thank you to whomever put it there. I am wondering if it loads ok for people? It loaded fine on my XP at work, but only partly loads on this small laptop. I am wondering if maybe it is too noisy for the front page?
Saw a rare pipistrel bat flying in London two days ago . . .
Wow. During daylight hours? Or near twilight or dawn?
Interesting that we are managing to use Curlchat as a personal IM communication channel
Yes. I logged in there this morning for a while and noticed Yosy logged in. After a while i checked and his name no longer appeared in the list of active users. Did we get rid of the login and logout feedback messages that appear when a person enters or leaves curlchat? I would like to still know that.

OK, will do!

PS.
It is Shadow's birthday tomorrow (Saturday)

we have a card sending capacity on our Peace wiki
Wonderful! Happy Birthday to Shadow!
And Gill's postcard sending capacity is a great thing to have on our Peace wiki. I used it this morning to send a card to Shadow. It's a great tool, imo. The choices are all asthetically pleasing and the interface is well-designed, clean and crisp. Nice.
I am wondering about the vestibule to our Peace Wiki - my own preference is for a minimalistic sort of Zen entry way - quiet, spare, still, to set the stage for inner calming.
We have very enthusiastic energy on the wiki and i LOVE it.
I have a little bit of anxiousness left over from our earlier wikis on other hosts... and i wonder if we should start out with a short couple of sentences that say what our Peace wiki and Retreat are all about, so that first time visitors can see in the first paragraph what we are all about? I am worried that the wiki police will once again decide we are using the space for purposes not in line with their policies.
Right now we are talking about Chinese New Years which is not until February before our upcoming Peace Retreat is mentioned at all.
I think that the small yogi anim is a perfect emblem at the top of the wiki, and so I moved the beautiful heron drawing down to a different section, near the gorgeous jumping dolphin. Trying to get back to simplicity in the vestibule, that's all.
love,
joyce
