ah! ... so that was why it was large!
i must say i never saw it move.
is it cyclic ... does it repeat?
or is it one time thru?
I built it from 5 still photos of a Great Blue Heron. Aligning the frames was tricky and the photos were taken on a breezy day in July (remember those summer breezes? mmmmmm) , so the leaves in the trees come and go. :)
It loops once. I have a version that loops longer, but it felt too noisy.
To see it animate, just click refresh on your browser. It looked fine on the fast T1 connection, but this laptop doesn't have enough RAM i guess.
anyway ... it is still there ....
all i did was edit the .gif to .jpg.
i'll change them back.
Thanks for the offer ts - i made a smaller version - reduced the width & height to 50% size, which brough the file size down to 85k from 285. I tried to use Irfan view on the 5 original frames, which were all in the vicinity of 59K jpgs. I took them down to 5k jpgs and then converted each to gifs, and they all exploded back up to 57K as gifs... So, i just went with the smaller dimensions.
I put the new smaller one on the front page of the wiki and left the other one in the photo section.
I do think the limitation is my laptop and not enough RAM, however the laptop sees the full animation using the large format gif that is on Photobucket... So maybe the additional overhead of the wiki makes the difference.
Anyway, no problems... It was a fun thing to learn and do.

Can it please be put back?

fridge is the man who made the changes it ...
you'll have to talk to him.

thumb, can you resize it to about 50% size and put it back centered?
It looked good there.

not unless i uplaod a new one.
or at least i don't think we can resize using HTML at the site.
hmmmmm ...
Yeah, i was wondering how much html it supports. Seems we should be able to size using width & height? But i couldn't do it.
that was something i was going to explore.
oh good ... another project! ;)
i can put back the full size version.
as long as you like it. ;)
i thought people might not realize there were
more pics below.
you know ...
you can click on the thumbs to get the large version?
Yes, i know about clicking on the thumbs.
I think the page looks better with the full size Buddha leading off. But maybe that's just me. I like the very much and i like having the page start with something whole, not a thumb.

knowmystery and desi and an infinite number of talk pages - one for
each person and one for each 'topic/page' of the wiki... it does not
work to have everyone trying to shift back and forth to check messages
on an infinite number of talk pages.

well...
this is what works for me ...
that's my main exchange place with lob ...
esp when we are both there working and editing ...
and can accuse each other of crashing the place. lol
and then find a way to fix it ...
i use the user_talk:lobster one as the main exchange ...
try it.
it works.
Sorry ts. Just do whatever works for the two of you.
What you are doing means that people have to be on the wiki all the time in order to get messages on a timely basis. Whereas sending mails communicates with people who have their computers on but who are not actively looking at that page. More people are logged in with email launched at any moment than are logged in with the wiki page loaded.
Anyway, just do what you guys want.

you're high maintenance aren't you? ;)
ts - i asked last week and i'll ask again - why do you feel the need to cast aspersions? to insult the person?
