As see it, such qualities are part of ALL our natures. It is simly human to be spiteful, vindictive, hatefull, angy, scared, arrogant and the whole lot. At times.... At other times the same people can be loving, kind, generous, creative, skillful, etc. At times all these human traits manifest in all of us. They are part of all of us and can be triggered by others, by circomstance, etc. Never the fault of these circomstances, or of others. These merely mirror what's already inside of us. In many traditions looking at our dark side and taking responsibility for it, is seen as an important developement on the path to enlightenment. No wonder.... When we see darkness also as part of our being, we can have compassion with others who manifest similar darkness. Just as simple as that. From that point on, nothing will be heard as accusations, or personal blame, or anything like that.
