Howard, This is an excellent suggestion, and would be nice addition to repertoire if we could get it published - Kendall, do you have any idea how this might be located?
thanks also to Lisa, I have one of the Duvernoy trios sitting in my library, completely forgotten until your message, they are charming. Chris >>> Howard Sanner <[email protected]> 4/28/2010 5:09 PM >>> There's a very beautiful arrangement of the slow movement of the Brahms F minor piano sonata for violin, horn, and piano by Mason Jones. He played it at the IHS Potsdam workshop. AFAIK, it has never been published. If you could get a copy and permission to perform it from his family it would make an excellent addition to your program. I realize Jones is a common surname (<== librarian jargon) and thus hard to track down, but I suspect someone in the IHS or otherwise out in French Horn Land knows how to contact them.
