For what should I change ? In retirement ? Marching up to 70 in 2012 ? I used an excellent 103 for 6 years in the Munich Opera with great success until I developed my own design together with late Hermann Ganter 1989.
I own a huntinghorn, a natural horn, three Viennese, my double. This should not be enough at age 68+. I have played more in my life than most players can imagine. So I pick my horn just from time to time, even doing some solo with orchestra still, but without pay, off course. I let money making to the younger colleagues. I do not sub for no money, as I would have to keep me in best possible to be responsible for my part, if called to sub. I would need to practise every day. No, no. So my six horns are enough.
