Hi Damon,

I am on the road right now, but if you will email me the middle of next week, I
will tell you my secret and show you a picture of my solution.

I used to suffer greatly from this malady until I invented "my little
bottle".... Not the booze kind!

Actually beta blockers can make it worse.  They can creat dry mouth.

Good luck

Subject: [Hornlist] Dry Mouth

Hi All,

(Forgive me if this subject has been addressed before, but I didn't find
anything in a cursory search of the archives.)

Through the years, I've learned to control most of the side effects of
performance anxiety.  As we say in Toastmasters, I've learned to make the
butterflies in my stomach fly in formation.  But dry mouth continues to plague
me in the most stressful situations--auditions and concerto performances.  I've
tried drinking gallons of water, sucking on lemons, Gatorade, and meditation,
but I haven't found a reliable cure.  I may try beta blockers, but before I do,
I want to know what has worked for list members.

Thanks!

Damon Kirk
