I am surprised no one has mentioned the use of classical music as a teenager
repellent.

Malls and other areas also make use of the higher range hearing
differential.  Or, if memory serves, did try it in the UK.  Played very high
pitch noises that older ears could not detect younger ones could.  Drove the
little darlin's right away.  That is until some human rights bunch got the
knickers in a knot over it.

Either that or my memory of the stories has gotten terribly mangled in my
mind.
