I´am sure, all of them got a "terrible" vibrato when the bridge started swinging.
o.k. no joking now. Think back two days. How was your feeling ? Did you notice something strange ? Did you grab for things but fail to get them ? Did you notice a certain alertness ? Did you become upset by nearly everything ? Did you feel some dizziness ? Exactly ! That is the "pre-quake-feeling".
